Abstract

|
Persistent postural perceptual dizziness (PPPD) is a type of chronic functional vestibular disease. The exact pathophysiology of PPPD has not yet been elucidated. Multimodality treatment, which includes pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy, and vestibular rehabilitation therapy, is effective for the treatment of PPPD. There are still unknowns about PPPD, such as epidemiology, pathophysiology, and diagnostic techniques. In this review article, we will discuss the known knowledge about PPPD and future challenges.
